A study on the relationship between sleep quality and academic performance among high school students

Introduction:

The m of this study is to explore the correlation between sleep quality and academic performance among high school students. Sleep has been proven to have a significant impact on physical and mental health, as well as cognitive functions such as memory retention and decision making abilities.

This study employed a quantitative research design where survey questionnres were used to gather data from a random sample of 500 students in their final year of high school. The questionnre contned questions related to sleep quality hours slept per night, sleep disturbances and academic performance GPA, grades in specific subjects.

Data analysis:

Statistical tools such as t-tests and correlation coefficients were used to analyze the data collected. s revealed a significant positive relationship between adequate sleep quality and academic performance.

The study concluded that there exists a strong connection between sleep quality and academic performance among high school students. It is imperative for educational institutions to prioritize sleep health, including providing information about the benefits of adequate sleep on cognitive function and academic success.
